What You Will Need:

• Gold (consciousness), Silver (subconscious) or White (spirit/renewal) Candle

• Firesafe candleholder

• Incense that feels right to you

• Incense holder

• Source of Fire

• One Offering (choose):

  • Possible Herbs: Marigold, Mugwort, Cedar, or etc.

  • Or Possible Foods: Family Heirloom Dish, Alcohol, or Sweets

  • Or Possible Items: Special Feather, Special Rock from the Land, or etc.

• Prepare for an Ancestor Altar - this can be makeshift. You could prepare to put photos or keepsakes of known ancestors here, or if you want to work with deep or unknown ancestors, use a family tree image (not including living relatives) or just a piece of cardboard with a family name, or the words “Family from/of _____” with a place or their descendent in the blank. This is the moment to decide who you will reach out to in this spell.

• A Book of Shadows / Moon Book and a pen or pencil.
